# Voice overview

Voice choice is one of the biggest quality decisions in a dubbing project. VoiceCheap gives you three main strategies:

* voice cloning
* voice library
* custom voices

## Choose a voice strategy

| Strategy      | Best when                                                     | Tradeoff                                      |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| Voice cloning | You want the dub to stay close to the original speakers | Depends more on source audio quality |
| Voice library | You want speed, consistency, and predictable output | Less tied to the original speakers |
| Custom voices | You want a reusable branded or personal voice across projects | Requires good sample material and permissions |

## What else affects the final result

* source audio cleanliness
* the selected voice isolation method
* subtitle and background-audio choices
* translation instructions
* how much manual transcript cleanup happens before generation
