Choose material that works without a diagram

Lists of symbols, formulas, and visual annotations can be hard to follow in audio. Explain their meaning in ordinary words or keep the diagram open while listening. Check the generated pronunciation rather than assuming a notation will be spoken as intended.

Make listening an active review step

You can place a question before its explanation and pause playback to formulate your own answer. Compare that answer with the original course material. Audio is another way to access your notes; its usefulness depends on the material and how you use it.

Try an example script

A primary source comes directly from the period or event being studied. A diary written during a journey is one example. A later book that discusses that diary is a secondary source.
