Translate what is said, not just what is written

Most tools that call themselves video translators produce subtitles. This one replaces the audio: the first 60 seconds of your video come back with the speech translated and spoken aloud, in a voice cloned from whoever was talking. Subtitles are still available on a full project, but the dub is what changes whether a video actually lands abroad.

How it works

Three steps, no account, about two minutes.

01

Upload

Drop in a video or audio file of any length. We keep the first 60 seconds.

02

Choose a language

Pick what to dub into, and optionally add names and terms we should spell correctly.

03

Watch and download

Compare the dub against the original, then download the file.

What people use it for

A translated caption asks the viewer to read. A translated voice lets them watch.

  • Testing how a video sounds in a new market before committing budget
  • Turning a course lesson into a second language for international students
  • Localizing a product demo for a sales call abroad
  • Giving a podcast clip a second life on a foreign-language channel
  • Checking whether a cloned voice holds up before starting a full project

What happens to your video

Your upload is deleted as soon as we have trimmed the first minute, and the dubbed result is deleted one hour after it is ready. Voice clones are created for this run only and removed when it finishes. Nothing is kept for training.

Translated audio versus subtitles

Subtitles are cheaper and faster, and for a short explainer they are often enough. But they split attention: the viewer reads instead of watching, and anything visual competing with the text gets lost. Dubbing keeps the viewer's eyes where you put them.

Language coverage

More than 70 target languages, including every major European and Asian market. Source language is detected automatically, and you can override it when a video mixes languages or the opening line is ambiguous.

What translates well

Scripted or semi-scripted speech translates most cleanly. Heavy idiom, wordplay and rapid interruption are where any translation — human or machine — starts making judgement calls you may not agree with.

Questions

How much of my video gets dubbed?
The first 60 seconds. You can upload a video of any length — we trim it before anything else runs, so a two-hour file works fine and only the opening minute is dubbed.
Which languages can I dub into?
More than 70, including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Arabic and Mandarin. Pick the target language before you start.
Does it keep the original speaker's voice?
Yes. Every speaker we detect gets their own cloned voice, so the dub sounds like the people in your video rather than a stock narrator.
Do you keep my video?
No. The file you upload is deleted as soon as the first 60 seconds are trimmed, and the dubbed result is deleted one hour later. Voice clones exist only for the length of the run.
Why does the timing drift on some lines?
A translated sentence is rarely the same length as the original, so the dub has to be reshaped to fit each speaker's timing. The free tool does one pass of that; a paid project does several, which is why the sync is tighter.
What does an account add?
Full-length videos instead of 60 seconds, no watermark, lip sync, a voice library, editable translations, and subtitle export.
