What does a video translation service include?

A video translation service turns a video recorded in one language into a version your audience can watch in theirs. As a video translation company, VoiceCheap delivers a reviewed transcript, a translation adapted to the timing of the speech, a dubbed audio track in a cloned or professional voice, subtitles and a final human quality check, in more than 70 languages.

See the engine behind every project

A short look at the VoiceCheap engine our team uses to translate, dub and deliver your videos.

What you receive for each language

  • Dubbed video

An MP4 with the new voice track mixed with your original music and sound effects.

  • Subtitles

SRT or VTT files in the target language, timed to the dubbed audio.

  • Approved scripts

The source transcript and the translated script, both approved by your team.

  • Separate audio track

A clean voice track for your own editing or LMS workflow.

  • Glossary applied

Product names, acronyms and technical terms translated the way you decided.

  • Corrections included

Correction rounds on the final files are part of the project.

Process

One managed workflow, from source video to publish-ready files

Eight steps, two sign-offs from your team and a human quality check on every file.

  1. 01

    Scoping

We agree on target languages, volumes, output formats, voices and a delivery date before any work starts.

  2. 02

    Transcription

Your source videos are transcribed with timecodes and speaker labels, using your brand vocabulary.

  3. 03

    Transcript sign-off

Your team approves the transcript and the glossary of names, products and technical terms.

  4. 04

    Translation

Each language is translated in context and adapted to the timing of the original speech.

  5. 05

    Translation sign-off

You review and approve every translation before any audio is produced.

  6. 06

    Dubbing and subtitles

Cloned or professional voices, optional lip-sync and subtitles are produced for each language.

  7. 07

    Quality control

A human reviewer checks timing, pronunciation, terminology and the final render.

  8. 08

    Delivery

You receive publish-ready videos, audio tracks, subtitles and transcripts, with corrections if needed.

Dubbing, subtitles or both?

Subtitles keep the original voice and are quicker to produce, which suits interviews and short social clips. Dubbing lets viewers follow training, tutorials and product demos without reading, which matters when the screen is busy or the audience watches on mobile. Most of our clients combine both: a dubbed video for the main release and subtitles for accessibility and search.

Translation that fits the timing of the speech

Translated sentences are often 15 to 30% longer than the original, which breaks the pacing of a video. Our engine adapts each sentence to the time the speaker actually had, then our team checks that meaning, tone and terminology survived the adaptation.

Built for video libraries, not one-off videos

Training catalogs, onboarding programs and YouTube back catalogs rarely stop at one video. We set up your voices, glossary and output formats once, then every new video follows the same workflow, so the tenth language and the hundredth video stay consistent with the first.
