Add subtitles

Use the public Add subtitles tool when you want captions on a video. Upload a video and VoiceCheap generates the subtitles; you do not need to bring an existing SRT file. The VoiceCheap Add subtitles video upload area and optional custom vocabulary field

Create a subtitled video

Upload a video

Select Upload file or drop your video into the upload area. The public limit is 60 minutes and 100 MB per file.

Set the subtitle options

Optionally enter difficult names in Custom vocabulary. Set Max lines and Characters per line, then use Subtitle style to preview the font, size, color, background, and position that will appear in the video.

Generate and download

Select Generate subtitles. Review the result, then download the editable SRT and the subtitled MP4.
The subtitle line-wrapping and visual-style controls in Add subtitles The public tool currently allows one guest generation per UTC calendar day, resetting at 00:00 UTC. The MP4 includes your visual style. The SRT contains subtitle text and timing, not the font or colors.

Choose the right output

If you only need a subtitle file, use Video to SRT. If you need translated speech or a full dubbing workflow, create a dubbing project.
