Tools overview

VoiceCheap includes standalone tools for cases where you do not need the full dubbing workflow. These tools are useful when you only need transcription, speech generation, subtitle extraction, or subtitle burning.

When to use a standalone tool

Use a standalone tool when:
  • you only need text from an existing audio or video file
  • you want speech output from text without creating a full project
  • you need an SRT file from a video
  • you already have subtitles and want them rendered onto a video
Use the full dubbing workflow when you need translation, voice selection, SmartSync, or optional lip-sync in one project.

How tools relate to the main product

  • Standalone tools solve one focused job
  • Full projects keep transcription, translation, dubbing, and exports together
  • Availability can differ between public landing tools and authenticated app workflows
The authenticated app and the free landing tools do not share the same limits. For example, the app text-to-speech workflow supports larger inputs than the free landing version, and daily tool allowances vary by plan and surface.

Use the full project workflow instead when

  • you need translation into another language
  • you want voice cloning, voice library, or custom voices
  • you need SmartSync-reviewed timing rather than raw transcript or subtitle output
  • you plan to add optional lip-sync or Smart Publish
